Inventory is Autogear's single place for everything you own and manage — vehicles, tools, machines and other equipment — gathered in one place. You'll find it as its own menu item in the web app.
What does Inventory solve?
Information about vehicles, assets, tags and user access used to live in different places across the platform. Inventory brings it together: one register, one overview, one place to look.
From Inventory you can:
- See your whole fleet and all equipment together — vehicles, tools, machines and more
- Track leasing, service intervals and insurance per unit
- Upload documents (periodic vehicle inspection, proof of insurance, contracts)
- Log damage with severity and reporter
- Control who has access to what
- Add costs, depreciation and purchase info
- Set custom fields that fit your business
Categories
Inventory is split into five tabs:

View and search
You can switch between list, card and map view. Search by name, ID or registration number to find a unit quickly.
In list view you see: image, name/type, identifier, status (active/inactive), location, activity and last seen.
The detail card
Click a unit to open its detail card. It has five tabs:
- Overview — images, notes, documents, damage reports, live position, leasing, service and alerts
- Finances — purchase price, depreciation, costs and contracts
- User access — who has access, and the default driver
- Dimensions — values for your company's own dimensions (created under Account)
- Licenses and units — active licenses and connected tracking units (GPS, Tag)
Inventory is available to all customers with Autogear Business, Engine or Asset. Tools with an Autogear Tag also appear here.
