What is Driver ID?
Driver ID is known as driver recognition. It works by giving you a small Driver ID tag, and when you get into the vehicle, the GPS registers that it's you who has gotten in. When the trip comes into the mileage log, it will be assigned to you.
Can others see where my Driver ID is on the fleet map?
No, only when you're the driver of a vehicle that's visible on the fleet map. When you're not sitting in a vehicle with the Autogear mileage log, your Driver ID won't be visible on the map.
Driver ID follows your personal privacy settings, so if you're set to not be visible around the clock, you won't be shown on the map when using the vehicle.
What happens if several of us are in the vehicle with Driver ID?
If several people in the vehicle have Driver ID with them, whoever is closest to the GPS, or whoever has been in the vehicle the longest, will be set as the driver of the trip.
