The GPS device is mounted differently depending on which type you have. Every type comes with the fitting it needs — you should not zip-tie, screw, or attach the device in any way other than the fittings supplied.
OBD GPS
Plug the device into the OBD port and check that it lights up.
If it is placed where it gets in the way of legs or feet and risks being kicked, we recommend using the extension cable and placing it somewhere more sheltered.
Fixed-mount GPS (on the battery)
Attach the device with the adhesive pad already on it.
12V GPS (cigarette lighter)
Plug the device directly into the 12V socket/cigarette lighter and check that it lights up. Make sure it does not slip out of the socket.
Need to attach the device some other way? It shouldn't be necessary — the fittings supplied with the GPS are sufficient.
