The device isn't logging, or trips are inaccurate
Check that the device is getting power. When you plug the GPS device into the OBD port, a small light turns on. If it doesn't light up, take the device out and plug it back in.
Getting inaccurate trips? This can be due to poor coverage where the device is placed. You can order an extension cable free of charge and place the device with a clear view out one of the windows. The extension cable is also useful if the device sticks out in the driver's cabin or you want to hide it.

What is OBD?
OBD stands for Onboard diagnostics. Already in the 70s and 80s, manufacturers began using electronic tools to test and diagnose faults in vehicles. This technology has continued to develop, and since the mid-90s OBD-II has been a standard in cars, giving full insight into the engine and most parts of the car.
Can Autogear's GPS device damage the car?
No. Autogear doesn't use any functions from the car and doesn't depend on being connected to the car's onboard computer. The Autogear device has its own GPS chip and its own data connection (SIM). We therefore only use the connection to the car's power, and have no contact with the car's onboard computer.
Can using the OBD port damage the car?
Yes, in the worst case other unsafe products connected to the OBD port can damage the car's electronics or affect how it functions. For example, we've experienced ourselves that the windscreen wipers suddenly started on their own when using a cheap product from China.
