The User access tab controls who has access to a unit and who is the default driver. You'll find it as the third tab in the detail card.
All users
Use the All users toggle to give all users on the account access to the unit. Suitable for equipment and vehicles used by many, without fixed assignment.
Standard access
Add specific users or roles with a defined access level:
| Access level | Description |
|---|---|
| Account owner | Full access — always included |
| Admin | Full access |
| Manager | Can view and report |
| Editor | Can edit trips and confirm |
| Read-only | Can only view |
You can add access based on:
- Individuals — search by name or email
- Role — all users with a given role get access automatically
- Team — everyone on a team gets access
Access via role or team updates automatically when users are added to or removed from the role/team.
Default driver
Set a default driver on the unit. The default driver is used to automatically link trips to the right person.
The default driver can be overridden by:
- Driver check-in (manual booking in the Driver app)
- Driver ID (automatic via a tag)

Remember that the driver's privacy settings always apply — access to the unit does not necessarily mean insight into all trips. Read more about privacy.
