Rates: Choose, change and create custom rates

Here you get an overview of the government's current rates. You choose which rates should be registered on work and private trips, so that mileage allowance and taxation of private driving are calculated correctly.

Where do I find the rates?

You find the rate setup in the menu on the left under Settings. The rates shown apply to the vehicle you have selected in the dropdown menu. Check off the rates you will use in the list, and select active rates at the top of the page.

Suggested setup

Private car used for work

• Private trips: Private – own car
• Work trips: Work – own car

Company-owned car with white plates

• Work trips: Work – company-owned car
• Private trips: Private – company-owned car

Class 2 van

• Private trips: Private – company-owned Class 2 van
• Work trips: Work – company-owned Class 2 van

Change rate

You change rate when your car usage changes — for example when you get a company car from work and need to document private driving with the company car, or when you should receive a different rate per km for using a private car for work.

1. Go to Settings → Rates.
2. Check off the rates you'll use going forward.
3. Change in the dropdown at the top for Private and Work to the new rates.

4. Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Custom rates

Custom rates give you the option to create your own rate or a supplement that the government's rates don't cover — for example if you have your own rate per km with a client or employer.

1. Go to Settings → Rates.
2. Click Custom rates on the right side of the page.
3. Click Add rate.
4. Fill in a name, price per km and how long it should be valid.
5. Click Save.
6. Set the custom rate as default on the Rates front page.
