Autogear mileage log has an advanced feature that automatically captures your toll crossings. The logic that captures toll crossings can be considered accurate suggestions, where hourly rules, rush-hour charges and everything else relevant is taken into account. Since Autogear has no direct connection to the toll companies, please note that small errors can occur.
When should you use Toll stations?
- When you want to disable toll stations on trips.
- When you want toll stations to be registered on trips in the mileage log for correct mileage allowance or taxation.
- When you want to activate the AutoPASS discount for the correct amount.
- When you want to activate and set up a discount with an AutoPASS ferry agreement with prepayment.
How to set it up per vehicle
- Go to Settings → Toll stations.
- Find the car.
- Click the purple pencil icon to edit.
- Enable or disable: Tolls, AutoPASS discount and ferry agreement.
- Click Save.
How to set it up for several vehicles
- Go to Settings → Toll stations.
- Check off the cars you want to change.
- Go to the Action menu at the top and choose Apply tolls, AutoPASS discount or Ferry agreement.
- Enable or disable what you want.
- Click Update.
Tips and important notes
How are tolls calculated?
The toll calculation is based on several factors:
- Car (size and fuel type) – If your account has several vehicles and different car types, prices may vary on the same type of trips.
- Hourly rules – The most expensive crossing within the hour is charged.
- Rush-hour charge
What happens when I choose to hide or show toll stations?
Then all trips linked to the vehicle will be shown with or without tolls — both old and new trips. Trips that have already been reported on or had a claim created for them are not affected by this.
What happens when I turn the AutoPASS discount on or off?
Then all trips linked to the vehicle will be shown with or without the discount — both old and new trips.
