You can solve the most common trip issues in the mileage log yourself. Find your symptom below.
The wrong driver shows on the trip
Who is set as the driver on a trip is determined in this priority order:
- Driver check-in in the Driver app
- Driver ID (the tag you carry with you)
- Default driver (the one set permanently on the car)
If you lend the car to someone who has a fixed driver, but check in as the driver before the trip starts, you'll end up as the driver on the trip(s).
I can't find my trips / trips are missing
In the default view — when you log in — only trips where you're the driver, and which are not yet confirmed, are shown. Confirmed trips aren't gone; they're just hidden by the filter.
- Go to Trips.
- Adjust the filter and period to show confirmed trips or a different time period.
- The trips will reappear once the view is expanded.
Trips are missing over a period — the GPS may have lost contact
If there's a long gap with no trips, the GPS may have lost contact (for example due to poor coverage, or the device being removed from the car).
- Check that the GPS device is properly seated in the car (the OBD device should be lit).
- Drive a short trip outdoors with a clear view of the sky, and see if the position updates.
- Does it persist, or are trips missing that you know were driven? Contact customer service.
I drove a different car — how do I add the trip?
Did you use a car without GPS, or drive before you received the GPS? Add the trip manually:
- Go to Trips and click the plus sign at the top right.
- Choose the vehicle the trip should be registered on.
- Edit start/stop, date and time, and add the start and stop address.
- Save, add purpose/project, and save again.
The trip was split at the wrong place
Did you split a trip incorrectly? Merge the trip back together and split it again:
- Open the trip on the Trips page and expand the map.
- Expand Trip overview at the top left and click Split trip.
- Click Select route to split, click the point with the arrow, and confirm with Split trip.
