Working hours automatically sorts trips with the correct rate based on the time period they were driven. Use it if you have a fixed time for when you drive for work and/or privately — for example, that everything within 07:00–17:00 Mon–Fri should come in as work, or that everything on the weekend should become private.
How to set it up:
- Go to Rules and click + Create rule at the top right.
- Choose the rate that should be Work (e.g. Work – own car or Work – company-owned Class 2 van).
- Choose the time and day(s) it should apply to, e.g. 08–16, Monday to Friday.
- A trip that starts within the working hours rule and ends outside it is classified as work by this rule.
You can tailor the rule to one or more cars, and set it to only apply for a given period (e.g. that everything during the Easter holiday should be private).
