If the logbook has recorded a trip you don't need — for example a duplicate or a test trip — you can delete it.
Deleting is permanent. A deleted trip cannot be recovered. Check that you have selected the right trips before you delete.
Before you start
- Applies to the web solution (app.autogear.com).
- Only trips that are not confirmed can be deleted. Confirmed or reported trips are locked.
- The vehicle must be set up so that trips can be edited and deleted. The Account owner and Admin control this in Inventory (the setting Can edit/delete trips).
How to delete trips
- Go to Trips in the menu on the left.
- Use the filter to find the trip or trips.
- Tick the trips on the left edge of the row.
- Click the trash can above the list.
- Confirm that you want to delete.
The trips disappear from the list. Refresh the page to check.
I can't find the delete button
Possible cause: The vehicle or your user does not have access to edit and delete trips.
Solution: Ask the Account owner or Admin to turn on Can edit/delete trips for the vehicle in Inventory.
I deleted the wrong trip
A deleted trip cannot be recovered. If the trip should be in the logbook, add it again as a manual trip. See Add and split trips.
Delete or correct?
Deleting removes the trip completely. Correcting changes information on a trip that should stay in the logbook. To change many trips at once, see Trips: Edit multiple trips.
