Maskinregisteret: Import and link machines

Once the integration is activated, you link the machines in Inventory to Maskinregisteret. You can import your whole machine fleet at once, or link one machine at a time.

Only items of type Machine in Inventory can be linked to Maskinregisteret. You must be the account owner or an administrator, and the price must be accepted on the integration page.

Import your whole machine fleet

  1. Go to Settings › Integrations › Machine Register (Maskinregisteret) and click Import machines.
  2. You see your machines in Maskinregisteret, compared with Inventory. The Match in Inventory column shows whether Autogear already found the machine: - Sure match — the internal number, serial number, licence plate or VIN is identical. - Possible match — the machine is similar, for example by serial number or name. Check that it's the right machine. - No match — the machine doesn't exist in Inventory. - Already linked — the machine is already linked.
  3. Under Action, choose what happens to each machine: - Link to match — the register data is added to the machine already in Inventory. - Create in Inventory — the machine is created as a new item of type Machine. - Skip — the machine isn't linked now.
  4. Check the summary and the price at the bottom, and click Link selected machines.

Sure matches are preselected with Link to match. All other machines are set to Skip until you choose something else. After the import, the data, inspections and documents for each machine are fetched right away.

  1. Open the machine in Inventory and go to the Machine Register tab.
  2. Enter the Registration number in Maskinregisteret (e.g. AB1234) and click Search.
  3. Check that it's the right machine, and click Link machine.

Click Unlink on the Machine Register tab. History and documents stay on the machine.

The license is not cancelled automatically. It returns to the license pool, keeps being billed, and is reused the next time you link a machine.

What does it cost?

Each linked machine adds a Maskinregisteret license at NOK 19 per month, excl. VAT, billed annually. Machines you link after the first invoice are prorated to the common renewal date. Machines you skip cost nothing.

Which machines can be linked?

Machines that are registered in Maskinregisteret and that your company has access to in the register. Machines that aren't in the register you add to Inventory as usual. See Add an item.
